Hi

I use LL1660 as single end of pre-amplifier output in balance XLR connection, config in Alt Q wiring. I use it connect to Maclntosh power amp , use a an a year, the sound and respond perfect..

Now I make 2A3 tube amplifier use LL1540 as input transformer. when no connection input to the 2A3 amp. the HUM in speaker is seem disappear , you ear closely touch to the speaker driver, just can hearing a bit, extremely little "dddddd.. " hum noise.. very very good .. but when once I connect this pre-amp to this 2A3, the HUM is become higher much, I can hear the "ddd..." near the driver in 4-5 inchs...

From the Pre-amp output (LL1660) to the 2A3 amp input (LL1540) , only XLR cable connection .. so how come the HUM is become higher ... I try to take out one side GND connection, the result is the same..

Did you have any advice for connection between LL1660 and LL1540 ?? or which wiring config I need to match on each side transformer ???

Your signal path connections look OK to me. Try connecting pin 1 on your preamp XLRs to ground through a 0.01uf 50v cap and 51 ohm resistor in series.
