I've been going through some Brandon Lee videos on YT and thoroughly enjoying his plying. He can play fast and he can play tender, and he has mastered the art of impactful bebop lines.

You can hear him in Kenny Baron's band, with his own quartet and elsewhere. Well worth checking him out. A good jazz trumpet player is a fascinating listen. Not the easiest instrument to master due to the range being a lot less than a sax for instance, but he has an excellent high register.

I was impressed by his soloing on Moment's Notice!

He was born 1983 in Houston, teaches at Juilliard and lives in NY.
