Trumpeter Dennis Gonzalez passed away in his home city of Dallas, where he was the anchor of the creative music community, school (and after-school) teacher, visual artist, poet, organizer, curator, community radio host, and family man. While locally focused he was also plugged in to the international free jazz community performing and/or recording all over the world with Cecil Taylor, John Purcell, Alvin Fielder, Reggie Workman, Michael Ray, Faruq Z. Bey, Louis Moholo Moholo, and many more |
