Noah Howard was from New Orleans, but he is never claimed by the city that typically loves its own. Of course Lester Young was from right across the river in Algiers, but he too is never considered a local.

It's kind of odd. Still great players rolling out of New Orleans. There is another trumpet player emerging. I can't remember his name ut a body that owned a record shop loved him.
