NEVER heard nor seen that before!

That's gotta be Tootie, right?

An interesting development of the Heath Brothers sound.

Helluva band and just a great time for innovative thoughts in music.

Cool button too!

Recent news here and possibly the greatest oxymoron of all time?

White Supremacy!

Oh, and spinnin' here:

Something you have not heard? Talk about a blue moon. I checked out Tinariwen and like what I heard. They have a lot of vinyl available. Which would you consider essential? I'll start with that one.

Re:Kawaida, you can't go wrong with that line up.

Tootie Heath
Herbie Hancock
Don Cherry
Jimmy Heath
Billy Bonner
Buster Williams
Ed Blackwell
Mtume

Thanks!

can't go wrong there.

I like all their stuff I've heard (have maybe 5 CDs?) and there are some great YT vids.

They came along just in time for the vinyl reboot, so many do exist as such.

Interesting Tuareg folk (from Northern Mali), they "discovered" electric guitars
and have mostly based their sound on that, creating a raw, energetic, hypnotic
music that seems new and timeless at the same time.
