Found a pair of jbl s109 Aquarius IV speakers on craigslist and they have the JBL le8t-2 drivers in them. I am not fond of the sound of this type of dispersed sound cabinet, so i was thinking of using the drivers to build a set of open baffle or ducted port enclosures. Touble is i can not find very much info on the T-2 and how it compares to the T or the T-H. Only thing I found was a statement that they are sonically slightly different than the T and should there fore be used in pairs.
Has anyone tried using the the t-2 in an enclosure or have any info on how it compares with the t or TH?

may "Not" be Hi eff. . I'm not sure but I don't think they're in the 95db range.

They run about 89dB with a very flat on-axis response. The D-208 is around 95dB with an upper midrange peak and erratic highs. There is a pro series 2115 at 92dB and in between for spectral flatness; it uses the LE-8T frame.

I read that the LE-8T-2 is the home version of the 2115. Do you know what types of enclosures it has been used in? How about open baffle?

You are probably right about not being 95db, but I thought it was close because many people have recommended the 8T and 8TH for use with tube amps.
