I'm considering selling a pair of nice Goodmans 12" Alnico full range drivers to finance some future activities. I had a troll through Ebay to get a sense of what was going on and what I found was "Not Much." What little was on offer seemed shabby and no on was bidding . Is there not much for sale due to scarcity or is there not much interest anymore? Perhaps there are other venues to sell this type of stuff that I'm unaware of. Is everyone just holding on to their vintage drivers? Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Robert

If they were shabby, maybe that's the reason no one bid. I'm sure I've seen vintage drivers like yours at decent prices. Why not take a few good photos and auction them with a reserve you can live with? What's the worst that can happen?

When I decide to buy or not buy a driver I look at what the driver can do or has done in the past. Has it been used in a vintage system that is revered for it's sound? It is currently sought after for current systems or DIY projects? Is there a cult following? Can the driver be rebuilt/reconed with OEM parts? If the answer to any to any of the above is no then the drive is only worth historical value and not it's usefulness. I myself would be curious about the sound of a Goodman's but wouldn't spend more than a few dollars to find out what it sounds like. In my opinion the value is determined by the answer to the above questions.

Shouldn't matter if it was used in a system that is revered for its sound as long as they can sound good in the system the buyer intends to use them in.
