My Cats and Dogs have been MUCH too curious over my DIY speakers (1970's E-V 8" 8SPC extended range drivers in vented cabinets) to suit my 'comfort' level.
My younger Sister had an old pair of Spectrum (USA) speakers, that her evil Cat clawed up BOTH 8" woofers???
Sooooooooo.................................

I purchased a 1/16" x 24" x 24" aluminum perforated screen.
Cut it down to two usable screens, drilled 8 holes for the screws, and painted them glossy black.
Added 8 black nylon 1/2" risers, and 8 black hex head wood screws.

The Cats now look truly upset................................

I tend to put screen in the door frame rather than on the speaker - but YRMV
Happy Listening

What about the 8" Heavy Duty Waffle Style Steel Speaker Grill that are on factory buyout special at Parts Express for $1.50? (Mounting hardware sold separately.)

That probably would have worked also.
Except for the fact they are so darn UGLY!?
Actually, doing the black-painted flat aluminum perforated screens worked out quite well.
Especially since they match the black cabinets to a 'T'.

Why bother to post this if you're not going to include at least one good photo? That would be a lot more helpful than a printed description.
