Does this make any sense? Building a high efficiency sub using a 12 or 15" woofer with a 8" woofer and a crossover. The 12 or 15" would handle the lower frequencies and the 8" would handle the mid bass frequencies. I have a pair of Tekton M-Lores and want to add a subwoofer. Both woofers would have dual voice coils...

It would be the rare sub that doesn't cover the range to 80Hz, or even 160Hz, quite well. Bandpass perhaps, but they're rightfully seldom seen outside of the auto sound genre.
