I picked up a Dayton Audio D250P-8 compression driver and Community CPL43-94 exponential horn from Parts Express.

Anyone try out either the driver or horn recently?

What was your application and result?

That will be used with the Dayton Audio D250P compression driver and the QSC horn. Hopefully I can finish up soon and post the results.

Is that the waveguide horn?

Will it sound like an Altec Mantaray horn?

I thought about getting one of the smaller 1" 2 bolt Mantaray horns for experimenting.

It's a waveguide., posted on July 14, 2014 at 21:06:10

This is what I did. I Built the crossovers for the Econowave deluxe to use with the QSC waveguide and B&C drivers. I stumbled across the Dayton D250Ps and decided to try them on a whim because of the price.

They sound amazing. I'm curious to compare to the B&Cs, and also to build crossovers tailored for them specifically, to see if either is an improvement, but so far I've just been enoying them.
