There is an update available for the remote app for the Sony HAP-Z1ES HDD Player. I did the uypdate but have yet to try it as I am at work. I hope it fixes the sporadic connectivity between the player and the router.

What sort of connectivity problems?
A couple of internet radio stations develop errors and cut out, but they do it listening on my Computer too.
Did a shoot-out between Z1 and Mytek 192/DSD and Lampizator DSD Dac.
Same files playing at the same time, Sony easily won.
I wish I had got another Z1 instead...

Would have saved money and got better sound.

Crap.

I have 2 of them, one in each system. I sold an Aurender N100H and a Wyred dac2dsd in favor of the Sony.

Good to know you preferred the Sony, but have you noticed that it takes about 10 min warm up before the treble, posted on November 30, 2016 at 18:51:01
sweetens up?

Unless I'm imagining things....

I let it play through a few tracks with the volume down before I start my serious listening.

For me , it's 20 minutes, but that could be amp/pre/Z1 all warming up.
There is noticeably more flow to the sound after warm-up.
Components that actually get warm sound better once warmed up to me.

You did it Right!
I would buy the Z2 in a minute...
If there is one.
Their Portable stuff has 4x DSD, maybe it will trickle-down.
