Jazz fans might be interested to know that Patricia Barber has recently released a new recording of her group performing live at the Green Mill. It is available in several formats, including ALAC and FLAC at 24 bit 96hz stereo. I am away from home an unable to listen on my real system, but on my laptop with B&W headphones it sounds very good (ALAC 24 bit). And of course the music is excellent too. Patricia is a stickler for sound quality as well as music.

Look at patricia.barber.com for this and other possible downloads.

Downloaded the newest album. Very nice. My daughter walked into the room while I was playing it and said, "That sounds like a night club."

I downloaded it the day it was released. Have listed several times. Like being there.

I just bought it but haven't listened to it yet. I have been a fan of
Patricia Barber since she performed at our 1999 show in Chicago.

Thanks for that, I find this a really interesting album.

Honestly I've bought previous one's just because of the audiophile approved stamp. This may be the first Barber album I'm pretty enthusiastic about regardless.

Yes, I know, I'm a heretic. :)

Best,

Erik

Have you tried her other Live at the Green Mill albums? (Also download only.)
Not as sonically good, but the music is, in my opinion. Blue Bossa on number 2, and On the Road Again, two of my favorites, but very different.
