Has anyone made a 128 double disc? Would a SACD drive even be able to read it? Or is this only possible using hard drive/solid state storage and computer.
Thanks

SACD is a disc format containing DSD data. This is similar to CD which is a disc format containing PCM data. In both cases the format for the data is fixed in the specification for the medium e.g. the music layer on CD can only consist of 16/44.1 samples. So the answer to your question is that SACD can contain only the "single" DSD format for the music and that higher DSD data rates will not be recognised by any SACD replay mechanism. Neither would such disc replay mechanisms recognise 64 DSD outside of the SACD format e.g. if you burned a disc from a DSD computer file and tried to replay it.

In regard to the second part of your question, 128 DSD replay could be possible using an optical disc replay mechanism rather than computer storage but the player would have to be built specifically for this purpose.

Just to note that SACD discs are DVD's not CD's and can store many time more information.
