Problem with balanced outputs on Oppo bpd105

So suddenly the balanced outputs on my Oppo BPD105 (connected to the balanced inputs on a Rogue Pharoah) are acting strangely. Sounds like only the surrounds in a multichannel setup. I've double checked the cables (connected properly, not out of phase) and the settings (set up for stereo). Non-balanced output is fine. Cables are Better Cables. Any suggestions (better cables?)

Make sure you are not sending the L/R from mch tracks to your stereo amp.
