Shouldn't this SACD question be posted on the Hi-Rez forum?

Well, given this current comparison question (& your recent DAC ratings questions) I'm kind
of curious what it is that you submit to StereoMojo .?

I can honestly understand your status as a Freelance reviewer. Off the top of my head I would guess the Teac players (being Esoteric's parent company) have the potential to
higher mechanical integrity . Depending how far up the cost scale you go the SQ of the respective brands I'm guessing things stay pretty even until you reach the higher priced
Marantz players. At that point you'd probably have to switch your comparisons to the Esoteric players !

I used a Marantz SA8001 for awhile . The best I can say about it is that it was "Meh !" &
It had some mechanical quirkiness that turned out to be a fatal flaw for myself at the time. Oh
I see you listed specific models . In that case...... Nevermind

Well the information was free so that should fit right in with what you were after !

Cannot say about cd3000. But I own the cd1000.
Though the Teac does not have the warmth of the Marantz, it has lots of resolution and bass. But I am comparing this to a 10 year old Marantz. At the same time, you need to find if the cd3000 has the same quirkiness as the cd100, which is, introducing 2 seconds gaps between gapless tracks on SACD layer.

I had a Marantz SA14 for years and have replaced it with a new SA-8005 modified by the Upgrade Company. I also had 3 Bybee Purifiers installed so the total cost of the unit was $1,798. It sounds much better than the stock SA14 and costs hundreds less. Without the Bybees, the cost is $1,499.
