I got a 49' Active USB Cable ( $20 ), hooked up Korg DS Dac 100, swapped a pair of ICs,
and Hey, that was easy!
Good bye Teac and Sony Z1!
Even Poor-Mans Double DSD is Nice.
I'm listening to a Rehearsal I recorded here in Regular 2.8 GH DSD, exported it in 5.6 GH,
and I'm loving it! Can't wait to try more Music on it.

DSD 5.6-MHz is great! I have it in my living room system, too. I just bought a TASCAM DA-3000, which accepts a USB flash drive for playing DSD files directly. It also records in DSD 5.6-MHz and I have recorded two LPs so far. There's just something about DSD that sounds rich like analog.

Have you seen the new Mytek Manhattan. It has the capability for DSD (11.2-MHz).

Best regards,
John Elison

Wow, sounds awesome! I didn't know the Tascam would play Files w/USB Stick!
I'm looking forward to lots of listening the next few weeks to get used to my Korg.
No real long sessions yet, but I'm liking it lots so far!

I also fired up the C 2500 24/192 USB Dac., posted on October 24, 2014 at 16:30:58

It didn't work right with the Korg Software, but I downloaded the VLC Player, and it's reading the sample rates correctly, woo-hoo!
The Active USB cable saved the day!
Computer stays put, HiRez Computer Audio in the Living Room, 24/88.2 through double DSD,
What Fun, this is So Cool!

I'm rather busy listening, too. DSD is really different and much better sounding than any other digital I've heard. I like it as well or better than my best sounding vinyl and I plan to begin copying vinyl records to DSD rather than PCM.

Best regards,
John Elison
