Just purchased the SACD of her new album. Impressions: excellent sound quality but her somewhat stylized rendering of these 1950s classics at times puts me off but others may enjoy her interpretations. She has made an effort to court the audiophile community with some success. These are mostly analogue sourced except for a few that are PCM sourced. The PCM sourced sound drier to me (less ambience). She actually asks you to compare the cuts on the insert to the SACD. The vinyl addition of Potions has not yet been released. The SACD is cheaper ($30 versus $50 or $60 if you want the autographed early pressing). She is no Ella Fitzgerald but still talented and one of the few audiophile singers out there.
