I am contemplating updating my LG BD390 Blu Ray player to a Panasonic DMP BD360 that plays flac files. All of my music is now on computer in flac and the BD390 will output MP3 only. A number of my files are 24/96.
My goal is to network the Panasonic with my Desktop and then output to my NAD T775 receiver for decoding. The T775 has decent DACs capable of decoding pretty much the full spectrum up to 24/192.

I am aware of Oppo players, Blue Sound, etc. and I already have a Squeezebox Classic that I love. This time, however, all I want to do is economically upgrade the Home Theater Blu Ray while at the same time acquire the ability to pass thru hi rez to receiver. Is anyone currently doing this with reasonable success?

Thanks! (Also posted on PC Audio)

The specs of the Panasonic DBP-BDT360 indicate that it is capable of playing FLAC files. And this review states that it'll play FLAC or WAV files up to 24-bit, 192-kHz:

The HDMI connection should be able to transfer the 24/96 stream to your T775. You might also be able to do that with the BDT360's optical output, but consider that a bonus if it works.
