At deutschegrammophon.com,

I cannot find FLAC download anymore.

The web pages direct me to iTunes store for download, and to Amazon for CD purchase.

What happened?

DG is preparing some hi-res?

Or is DG going further to low-res giving up even the lossless 44.1/16?

However, there are some 38 hi-rez DG titles on HD Tracks, e.g.,

. . . at 24/96. And the spectrographs for the above download show that indeed they are real hi-rez files. I've also seen hi-rez DG titles on the Canadian Pro Studio Masters site.

Universal (DG, Philips, Decca) now has a small number of 24/96 downloads being sold at Pro Studio Masters.

The albums appear to be listed in random order.

I recommend Hampson singing Strauss lieder and Uchida playing Schumann. The "Cosi Fan Tutte" received excellent reviews.
