Dangers of continuous-run burn-in

I just ordered a SCD-777ES SACD player, and I gather from this
forum that you need 600 hours of burn in on each of CD and SACD
modes. Is there any danger of "burning up the laser" or something
if I run a CD on repeat for 600 continuous hours?

Also, do you really need to burn in the SACD mode? I thought that
the CD PCM data was converted to SACD, and so by using CDs, I would
be exercising the whole unit.

One of my friends has a Naim CDS-2, and the burn in for that device
is recommended as 1 week 24/7, off for 2 days to "let the capacators
crystalize uniformly" or something, and then another week 24/7. Any
opinions on the best burn in schedule (XLO burn in disk?)

I purchased my 777 two weeks ago and have had it on repeat since and have had no problems. I must state that the sound dramaticly improves over time especially on the CD side. I always burn new purchases extensively when I first get them, not only does the sound usually improve but I feel that if there are any parts that are borderline defective this is when they will fail.
I will also echo the other users and say get an aftermarket power cord the player greatly benefits.
