Co. to provide Universal remote and program IR codes

Hello,
I am in need of a universal remote.
Does anyone know a company that will "load" the IR codes, prior to sending you the remote?
I've been told that it is very time consuming and extremely necessary to load them correctly.
The unit is a NHT Controller.
Thanks in advance for any assistance available.

You may want to look at the Logitech Harmony range. These effectively do have pre-loaded codes, no need for "learning". The required codes ( if I remember correctly) are downloaded into the device from Logitech's website for it.

I recall looking at one a few years ago and although the number of codes offered is phenomenal, audio brands ( except for equipment from the giant electronics manufacturers like Sony or Yamaha) were not abundant. So you would need to check first if the NHT brand and your particular product are listed. Logitech do say that the list is constantly changing so my experience some time ago may no longer be relevant for you.

Of course whilst you are at it you can add codes for all of the other remote controlled devices in your home so there is an additional benefit.

Downside? They are quite expensive.

I've used logitech harmony remotes for years to control my home theater and have had great luck. Send me a message if you have any questions.

Looks like a Logitech Harmony 650 for me.
Who bought Logitech ? I see the Harmony line has a number of discontinued models.
