The other day, I thought about a similar plug-in device for the home, but far from the extent this thing goes.

Was recently featured on a recent PBS Ask this Old House. Just two
CT's attached to the main 240V input cables in breaker box sense each
device's start/ramp up signature, and sends info. (via wireless) to the computer and it figures out which device is activated. Shows what's
turned on and wattage used in real time. Kinda neat, but not for me.

are you saying we need to read all replies before we do so we don't repeat anything? Really? Yes lets micromanage every aspect of our lives.

Yes, I do. I do because it's common sense to not duplicate an
earlier reply so I don't waste my time or anyone else's.

I like the "classic" view where I can quickly and visually follow the posting tree.

One doesn't have to read all the posts to get the initial replies.

Interesting concept. Reviews for the Sense device and app are very mixed. Seems like there are many bugs to work out before this performs to the level that the pamphlet would lead you to believe it does.

Why any reasonable person would need a $300 device to tell them that their incandescent bulbs are using more power than their LED bulbs or that their 20 old refrigerator is inefficient is beyond me. Filing this under "a fool and their money soon go separate ways".

I mentioned that it was on yesterday morning. I did not repeat what you said, but the truth is also that I didn't read the entire post before posting. You won being the first to post if that means something to you.

if there are ten secondary replies to the initial response, you have to wade through those to find the next "direct" reply.

I prefer not following the posts chronologically.

Classic is the only way to go but the replies to a thread are in reverse order, first at the bottom.

I wonder how much time you waste reading entire threads only to find nobody said what you wanted to say? Hell I'm on disability and even I won't spend that time. I spend too much time here already. But you feel free to do what you like. Its a free country, I'm a contributing member here and will do the same.

he did not repeat what you just said at all. If you think that you need help even more than this thread reveals already. Damn dude? Your post had more data and an opinion. He is allowed to say he saw it too right?
