"Solved"
Kudos to the OP's that take the time to post the final result of input received.

"Cold Cases"
I run across a lot of these. Even see the OP being asked how things turned out, but no response. Maybe they are getting the final answer elsewhere such as other sites? I have often run across the identical question when doing a Google Search.

The best example I've seen recently is where the OP got many recommendations from the forum, but ultimately the answer came through their personal correspondence with the manufacturer. They said as much in their final post, but didn't share the info. Huh?

I don't know these people, or the circumstances, so it would not be fair to judge them one way or another.

Personally I am going to make an effort to close any topics that I start. Hopefully other inmates concur.

Cheers!

I've learned here some people will tell you what happened and others not. For the not group I imagine it was a things didn't go well or how they expected and I think others just don't feel the need to reply. I see that a lot when people pose or ask something that requires more data to tackle and they don't even do that. I too see the same posts by the same person on other sites.

The main thing I learned is I can't change it, just lead by example.

very good practice. I have a lot of reservations of things I had been thrilled about initially, but the next step up you get even better with more experience in this hobby and probably dismiss the past. If someone asks sure, but why bother?

always appreciate the help here, lots of talented individuals and mad scientists.

Was the music so good that it sounded like a veil had been lifted and it was coming out of a black background?

Did I hear new levels of detail from records I'd listened to hundreds of times before?

Happy listening,

The other day on AK I came across a thread about a Yamaha CR 2020 that the guy was about to take home for $50. There were several posts over wo days. He supposedly was told to come back in 10 days but everyone was like. "No! Run back there and give him the money then pick it up in ten days...blah blah"

That was 11 years ago. He never responded to the thread again despite being active on the board until late last year.

I revived the thread just because I wanted to throw my computer out the window. And in hopes the OP would see it and give us some closure.

I've been guilty of the same offense... but if I ever come across my own zombie thread, I respond even if it's been years.
