Hey guys,

I have unfortunately had to move and store my Vinyl collection in several "Home Depot" heavy duty, double walled moving boxes for the past 3 years. These boxes were stored in another family memeber's climate controlled home. The time will soon come for me to be re-united with them. Upon opening one of the boxes today for inspection I was surprised at myself to discover that I allowed the records to lean when I first boxed them 3 years ago.

Can you please take a look at this and tell me your thoughts on possible warpage I could have caused? I can't actually fully open up the boxes and inspect for another few months...

You should be fine, though I've heard to remove the shrink wrap
right away when opened.

Temperature matters most. 100F plus: problem. Less and no problem, posted on December 6, 2016 at 15:05:04
So if the room they were in regularly got over 100F inside.. It will be not so good. Warm is OK, hot is a problem.. Cold is no problem.
If the temps stayed below 100F... Most likely no problem.
The records leaning will not warp unless they had pressure. Like leaning AND the box on top was pressing against the LPs from above.

The fact the LPs ALL were leaning the same, nearly all are supported. The ony one not supported is the last one, maybe last two.

So my guess without the temp facts is: your LPs will 98% be fine. Maybe a few (2%) will be slightly warped. (If you leave them alone, but straight up.. Eventually they will unwarp themselves if it is really slight IMO.)
