Yes, CDs are certainly flawed. They warp easily, scratch easily, suffer
from clicks/ticks/pops, must be cleaned (in a fairly expensive cleaning
machine) regularly, degrade in sound quality with every playing, in many
cases require you to walk softly in the room in which they are playing
lest their playing mechanism skip, cannot be played in an automobile ...
I could go on, but I won't.

The Bill Evans catalog is very comprehensive. Those 1950-1960's recordings are essestial in my book. The 70's was filled w/ live sets and can be more hit-and-miss. His final boxed set- Turn out the Stars, is a must own! Keep me posted on where you decide to jump into his wonderful music.
