Bernie Worrell keyboardist, writer and co-founded (along with George Clinton)of Parliament-Funkadelic passed away yesterday at the age of 72 After a lengthy Battle With Lung Cancer.

Parliament-Funkadelic was a mega R&B-Funk group of the 70s who's only rival (in popularity and sales) were Earth Wind and Fire.

My personal favorite PF jam showcases Bernie's work on keyboards and string arrangement from '72:

A fantastic musician!

Had the pleasure of hearing him live with both P-Funk and Talking Heads a few times.

The stuff he did with Bill Laswell is Bernie Worthy too.

RIP to a visionary musician.

I did make it to the last half of the George Clinton / PF free concert in stern Grove on the 26th-
