I was a long time Stereophile subscriber. I moved. My Stereophile subscription lapsed. I renewed. It has now been TWO months since I sent my payment in. Still no Stereophile. I got some cheap assed earphones that must have been part of the subscription today. But still no magazine. In today's world, why on earth would it take so long to get a subscription started? It makes zero sense. I can start a newspaper subscription on Friday and have a paper delivered by Saturday. What am I not seeing here?

I believe you're looking for Critics Corner, which has become the official website for Stereophile subscription complaints. It's home to all those who hurl righteous indignation toward the magazine's subscription service, which works just about the same as every other subscription service for every other magazine in the country. I agree it's frustrating, but what you're experiencing just seems to be the way the world of magazine subscription works.

A few years ago I had a car featured in "Mopar Action" and I didn't get the issue in the mail. I just looked in the byline and called the main office. Cheryl, a very nice old lady who was the office manager grabbed a copy and put it in the mail for me.

This isn't the White House. Pick up the phone. AND BE NICE.

Maybe your mailman is stealing them? Or your neighborhod secret audio lover?, posted on April 30, 2016 at 10:10:23
Every once in awhile I get a 'crazy' mailman.. One who thinks it is NOT his (her) job to actually deliver the mail to the addressee!
Instead the person drops off the items anyplace, but usually within the same block!

This would be OK IF I had neighbors who gave a damn. Usually not. So they either open the mail and discard it. Or just throw it away.

Or you may have one of those folks who do not even bother delivering it at all! They take it home, or dump it in the river..

Perhaps your yard squirrel has stolen it?

"He who smelt it, dealt it."

Are YOU the one who's been stealing his Stereophile magazines?
