I'm looking for some suggestions for a good socket to put in my garage. I'm going to be getting some put in and will hook up home theater audio equipment to them. I don't want anything special. I'm guessing some hospital grade will be good enough.

Yep, I wouldn't spend more there with that gear. HG is a good choice.

I use a cheap $10 hospital grade outlet I got on Amazon. It is an orange outlet, I use that with a Shunyata power cord (hey it was either that or an engagement ring, lol!).

I have a PS Audio in my basement, I am too lazy to repurpose that, the audiophile outlets tend to clamp on the connectors tighter. I might get a Shunyata outlet and replace the cheap Amazon one but my employment outlook is iffy with the velocity of money slowing ... Assuming I am employed in the first quarter next year I might just get that Shunyata outlet.

If not I'll be enjoying a can of Alpo for thanksgiving next year :)
