Hi and sorry for the maybe not correct question.
I even do not know clearly what bit-perfect means ... but i guess it is a very important characteristic.
I wonder if there is a bit-perfect media player for video files (not only audio).
Or more in general a SW video player able to provide a really great audio playback.
For instance ... Videolan, Kodi, ... are bit perfect ?
Thanks a lot for any advice.
Kind regards,
bg

Bit-perfect means that the data from the audio media or file hasn't been altered in any way prior to the final D/A process. Just about all "NOS" or non-oversampled playback is bit-perfect. If the playback uses sample rate conversion, data enhancement, or data truncation, then it is no longer bit-perfect.

Hi and thanks a lot for the very helpful advice.
I wonder how good can sound a audio file played-back with a player SW like VLC or Kodi
I see Foobar as much more common but it cannot stream video.
I am looking for a Foobar like video player.
Thanks again.
Kind regards,
