Memorial Day

both grandfathers I had who were 1st generation Americans, one fought in Europe, the other in the Pacific. Then my dad fought during Vietnam in the Air Force, I am 3rd generation American spoiled bastard, I know they wouldn't have it any other way.

I will be the first to take up Arms and fight for the constitution and what this nation stands for if need be. I am getting long in the tooth at 37 years old, however I am not going to let anyone or anything take my freedom. Anyone or anything that tries to invade here will be met with guns behind every blade of grass.

Fine words there Bullethead, My family had to give up everything to get a ticket out of Cuba when Fidel Castro took over the island, At least we had Money and property's they wanted, some others were not so lucky. So when I finished school I joint the US NAVY as a thank you to this country for the freedom that I have and to defended it if necessary. HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL THE VETERANS OUT THERE!!!

You're welcome. God bless you & your family for what you've been through & fwiw, I especially grieve (yes, still) for any who served & paid the ultimate price in a war that was very unpopular amongst many. I lost a few friends as well & was hurt by the chilly & sometimes angry reception I & other survivors experienced upon coming home. I considered it my duty as a citizen to "answer the call" & served with honor as did every one I knew in VietNam. I'm not saying whether that war was justified or not. That, I guess is each individual's decision/opinion. Now I'll get off my pulpit as I'm sure I've gone on too long. Jus' my 2 pennies worth. Thanks for your reply, Dave W.
