You're not trying to connect any iDevices are you? Like iPhone, iPad, etc.

Ever since iOS 8 was released a lot of devices have been having Bluetooth problems and no fix has yet been released.

I mostly use my 2013 Macbook Air., posted on May 21, 2015 at 07:26:04
I have had problems with several brands.

Perhaps the takeaway from this is not to have Bluetooth built into an integrated amplifier, etc. And not to spend big bucks.

My older Arcam rBlink has never gone on the blink.

...no fix has yet been released." What???

iOS 8 came out about 9 months ago and bluetooth problems were promptly fixed shortly thereafter. We're presently on iOS 8.3. Of course there are a couple stragglers who still seem to have problems but for the most part it's a non-issue.

We have two iPads and two iPhones in our family and only the older iPad had a bluetooth issue that was quickly resolved with the first patch. Our iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 have never had bluetooth issues upon updating to iO8 back in Sept 2014.

That being said, I think Sam is asking about bluetooth receiver devices like integrated amps, speakers, headphones and such.

iOS 8 did come out a while ago but 6 updates later Bluetooth issues remain for many people according to Apple's support site.

I understand that the OP was probably asking about receivers I just thought that maybe he was having trouble due to his connecting devices.
This does not look to be the case because I have not heard of too many Bluetooth issues with OS X, only with iOS.
