That is shocking. He was not that old.

I own a SOTA table I bought from Kirk, he was a really nice guy.

Sad news.

Same here. Lengthy phone talks with him and Donna. Swell folks. nt, posted on March 28, 2015 at 16:01:42

Very sorry for Donna and family.

He and Donna were great to deal with and my Cosmos IV is a joy and his woodworking skill is evident.

Sad news as he was so young.

First, and most importantly, I give condolences to any and all family and friends he had.

I am not a SOTA owner, but have always had incredible respect for their products, and have greatly wondered why they have so little mention/presence in the last decade or so?

Yeah, there is probably better, and certainly much worse, but the "table" I've always lusted after (after hearing such a setup) is a Sota Star or Cosmos with an ET2 arm.

Would still love to get that setup one day... and I'm in remorse that I never grabbed ahold of that combo back in the (part of a) day when you could get that combo for $750 or $1000 WITH a cartridge.

That day is long past. Forget my stupid material wishes - Truly heartfelt condolences on his passing. :(
