If Santa wouldbring you any Audio thing of your heart's desire, What would it be?

So say Santa was real.. and he would bring you whatever audio toy you really want.
What would it be?

For me the #1 toy on my list would be a pair of Magnepan 20.7

If those were too much, I could be very happy with a new Rega RP8 turntable.

What's on YOUR list?

I'm not greedy, I would like a pair of Golden Ear Triton 1 speakers, Wyred4sound dac2 dsdse & a used Shunyata Hydra2. That's what I'm planning on buying in 2015 but Santa could save me a whole lot of money.

All 12 panels, power supplies, et al. Perhaps throw in a pair of Townshend supertweeters to finish them off.

Or perhaps send a Schiit Yggdrasil, when it is finally released?

Or maybe an Aesthetix IO Mk II Jupiter Series phono preamp, with volume controls? Any of those would do, I'm not fussy... :^)

Hi, Nuit,
I'd love to have a Parasound Halo CD 1 player. I still enjoy CDs and this player would be a great way to listen to CDs without the need for an external DAC.

Happy holidays,

How about ... a home with a dedicated and fully "doctored" listening room,
a pair of Avalon Eidolon Diamonds loudspeakers, VTL amps, and a first rate
cd player? Or, barring that, peace and prosperity for all in our time.

But mostly Santa, bring me the Prime. Otherwise I've got to ask you again, and again, and again....

though even the objectivists could be on the right path as regards measurements in this instance.

One could choose a slew of terms from the glossary below as the crossover of descriptions
for a beautiful woman and... stereo equipment (!?!?!?) seem to reflect a fine synergy...
and strangely correct polarity. Pretty fooked up in many ways. but seeing as how this
is mostly a male hobby, not at all surprising.

I mean, "sweet spot"? "chesty", "involving", "visceral"...

The choices for descriptors reflect a males lively reproduction of aural fixations.

I actually asked for, and got (already!!), the one thing I knew Santa could get that would help get better music in the home here:

A new (and much quieter) refrigerator; the "music room" is right off the kitchen, certainly within sight of the refer.. We had purchased a side by side counter depth (white) Samsung about 3 months ago from Lowes. Thought it was going to delivered around the EDA, but no, it took 2 months just to get into the country. Finally installed, a Godsend to our ears. No more complaints from the family - regardless of music playing or not - the old unit was almost 19yo (GE). It is a day and night difference. Will post a pix or 2 soon...

IF I could have one MORE wish it would be for less tinnitus in my left ear; I am a good boy and pray every day but am not any better. I really have to watch it these days so as not to get worse.

Yes, Gary, I hear you on that one and agree. I asked for that - and got a quieter refrigerator instead. The old refer. bothered everyone's tinnitus in the family. Partner Marie's tinn. is from diving in less than ideal conditions; now she is paying for it the rest of her life. Mine, from vocational/ accidental oversight and some heredity I am sure.

I have had it for about 10 days now. I include this photo. as it shows just how close the refer. is from the speakers (Maggies - MG1.6qrs) as seen in the very right hand side of the shot.
