Always loved Jackie and Roy, back in the day whem am radio
was king. KSFO in SF used to that kind of station, with
fantastic Theme Song, maybe by Gene Purling of the HI-Lows.
Now it's Right -Wing Hot-Talk
-Not that there's anything wrong with that-

She was much underrated as a jazz singer and Roy was the perfect accompanist and vocal foil. I thought they were as hip as it gets with excellent taste in the selection of material.

Why, saints preserve us, a hip, happenin', Southern Californian who's never heard of Jackie Cain and Roy Kral? Why, golly gee, here I am, a six pack swillin', barbecue eatin' Midwesterner and I not only know who they are, I've got most of their recordings and actually heard them in live performance.

You're right though, they're a regional act-if you consider the entire world a "region!"
