Is anyone else having trouble with Homegrown Audios customer service? It seems they don't really care about the customer. I ordered a few pair of their midline silver plated RCA connectors for some cables I am building. I placed the order on 7/17 and paid by PayPal. When I log into the website to check on the order it states "awaiting fullfillment" They don't return emails or phone messages. I currently have a PayPal dispute against them because of the delay. If they really care they should at least contact me and let me kow what's going on. If Anyone else having problems with them let me know.

Recently, I have had mixed experiences; mostly bad.

1) Ordered connectors. Had same "awaiting fulfillment" and non-response you experienced. Finally got them around 10 days after placing order.

2) Ordered some more connectors. Complete opposite experience. Quick shipping notification and receipt.
***BUT*** When I got my credit card statement I saw that they charged me 3 times for this order. Then I got the same non-response to emails and phone calls. When I did receive an email response (never got a return phone call), they said their records did not reflect 3 charges for the same thing. I then took a picture of section of the statement showing the 3 charges for the same thing on the same date and emailed it. I then looked up the State Consumer Protection attorney and called the credit card company. A week later they acknowledged the problem and said they would resolve it promptly. After repeated queries/non-responses I saw the credit on my next statement. They never informed me that this had been done.

Any business that has a credit card process that allows the above is not for me. Coupled with the non-responsiveness and delays, I would not buy anything from them again. It is too bad; they have some nice cost-effective products.

Hi Lockman, I would of been suspect of their name( Homegrown). Their probably too stoned to get to your order. Homegrown today is better than anything south of the border. Good luck, put the boots to em....Mark Korda

Roy responded by email the next day (twice). I chose not to pull the trigger after he explained he had no stock (expecting more by the weekend), Good email communication.

mt10425's post indicates that things may be OK. My experiences were in February and April 2014.

Thans for the rssponses. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one that has experienced bad customer service. I'll move forward with nmy PayPal dispute. 2 weeks for an order to be pending is way too long! I have received items from China in less time. HGA is supposed to be a family run business, that's most likely the problem. Are you going to fire your son, daughter or wife? As far as their products go, I believe there wire is way over priced and I am a previous owner of a couple of pair of HGA lace I/Cs. I felt they sounded a little thin in some systems and a little hot in the upper midrange. You can do better for less money.

I did some ordering a time or two and I think once was slow once was fine and emailed some questions and they took forever to respond. Not the best but I got what I ordered both times.

bought about 20 RCA jacks from them for a DIY project. When I decided I wasn't going to use them I returned them (after receiving immediate emails from them for return authorization). Money was refunded to my card no problem.

Update: Still have not received a response from HGA. I have emailed them 3 times requesting an update on my order. I will not be doing any business with them in the future.

Finally received my order 3 weeks later. No explanation for the delay, no emails, no phone calls. I will not be dealing with them in the future.

The poor sound of their wires. A few years ago I bought their top of the line braided speaker wire made from solid silver wires braided together. Pretty expensive and it looked nice but I didn't like the sound at all. It was the stereotypical silver sound: very bright highs, lean lows, and a cool reserved sound. Yes, it was detailed but it sounds nothing like music. A total waste of money not to mention the long time required to break it in.

An order for banana plugs that I placed in November, 2014, is still marked "Awaiting shipment" (it's now July, 2015). They don't answer eMails or return phone calls and, though the website is still active, they are apparently out of business. Unfortunately, I used a debit card, so there's no way to recover my payment (about $45).

DO NOT ORDER FROM HOMEGROWN AUDIO! It's unlikely that you'll ever see your goods.
