Vermont will remember as well. He's an adopted son.

He was such a great poet. His music brings back many fond memories of good times, simpler ways, and my favorite album cover...

Regards,
Tom

sixties, prepare yourselves for many, many more to come.
Jesse and his generation set a bar that, I'm sorry to say, hasn't and isn't in danger of being disturbed.

Thanks for the heads up. He made some great music! As, posted on April 11, 2014 at 18:12:51

indicated previously....the heavenly band is getting packed with greats! Or from a more eastern perspective, maybe he'll be back some day, again making great music on earth in a different form. In any event, he'll be missed!

Sad to hear this. For any fans, I recommend seeing the episode of Elvis Costello Spectacle that had Jesse on-a very cool discussion and music session.

the 80's at the Rainbow Music Hall in Denver. I remember Kihn saying "He's got a lot of soul". Even managed to get that comment and then Kihn's show recorded for posterity :)

RIP Jesse

Memphis is closer to Canada than Johnson City, TN.
And "I spent the VN War stationed in Canada."

I last saw him about 25 years ago at the Down home in JC, TN.
He was great.
