All-

I will be in Houston TX in a few weeks. I am looking for the best shops for new/used CD(s).

is about my only recommendation. There's a few down there

Also, if you can find a large Goodwill check them out. Up here in Dallas the two I go to are flat out overflowing with CDs and not all junk.

I believe Vinal Edge is in NW Houston on Veterans Memorial near Bammel. - Vinyl Heights is in The Heights.

Excellent guys!

are there any Audio shop(s) left in Houston?
I know Sound Concepts is out of business, any other B&M dealers/retailers left?

Fantia, if when you're here and might care to visit a fellow music lover with a good collection, send me a PM. I live north of the airport near the freeway so I'm easy to find. Texas Monthly magazine's awarded "Best Fish Tacos" are nearby.

Restaurant. Haven't been to a strip club in years.

It's not that I'm trying to denigrate the restaurants in your area. Yours can't be any worse than the ones in my area, which is part of the reason why some of the best fish concoctions I've ever eaten were served in strip clubs rather than restaurants. Who knows where I'll end up going when I'm hungry for ceviche.

Thank You! Jim.

I know that Houston's long time staple, Sound Concepts, is long gone.
Is there any hifi B&M stereo shop(s) left?

Last I checked that fellow is only open on Saturday's. Houston isn't Shangra La for audio.

Damn shame Jim. At least Houston is not far from San Antonio nor Austin!

True. But, the audio community in Houston is pretty savvy.
