Dunm question PAS2/3 vs3X

I grew up with a dynakit PAS3X which I built myself and bought from E.J.Korvettes in 1967 for $56. It drove two 12W P-P 6V6 National kit amps which I built myself and bought from Allied radio for $20 each. (speakers were Goodman co-axials in Layafette radio "elliptoflex" kit enclosures) I recently picked up a ST70 and PAS2 at a garage sale for $30 for both and both work. I will be cleaning and restoring them and am contemplating upgrades. My question is what is the difference besides the front panel finish between the PAS2, the PAS3 and the PAS3X? Thanks, Steve D
