This was a kit so... The input grounds went to selector switch to phono board to linestage then to quad ground. The volume had it's own ground from blend, bal then vol to board AND loudness switch to ground.

On the audio output there is almost a 1000k resistor between out and ground lugs. and 10 ohm between output ground and spare ground, yup!

So my question is what resistor value do I use across the output lug? Can I get rid of the 10 ohm resistor?

I rewired as close to PAS premium schamtic as possible and got rid of about 60% of the hum.

I wired the inputs to the selector switch then to vol. And blend to bal to vol. The volume goes to #1 on linestage and #8 goes to power board. The power board goes to quad cap ground.

The output ground is from the linestage board.

I removed the phono board entirely from any circuit. I wish there was a way to remove the blend switch and tape monitor switch.

I'll go over it again

and what value resistor do I put across the audio outputs.

Disconnect any connections from the I/O strip to the quad cap - all of the grounds from the I/O should only go the the respective switching cercuit and/or the audio amp input terminals

What means "ground" ?? - Remember this is part of the input circuit and therefore the only relevant ground is the line input grounds at the pc board.

You can remove the 1000K (I think you mean 100K) resistor and keep the 10 ohm resistor. Either way you can ignore these components - this is not the problem.
