Probably one of the most underrated violinists of the century along with Adolf Busch and Wolfgang Schneiderhan. The opposite is true for Jascha and dare I say Milstein.
I only have Szeryng on LP so will provide you with recordings details. I can give you LP catalog numbers if you want them.
Bach Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin: This early 50's recording won the Grand Prix du Disque and is probably the ultimate Szeryng recording
Brahms violin concerto with Pierre Monteux and the Boston Symphony: One of the greatest of this concerto along with the Oistrakh-Konwitschny
Mendelssohn/Schumann concerti w/ Dorati and the Minneapolis: A glorious Mendelssohn, really sings!
Sibelius/Prokofief concerti w/ Gennady Rozhdestvensky and the London Symphony
Go for them!!

I am interested in finding some of the releases on LP that you mentioned.......especially the Mendelssohn/Schumann/Dorati. Could you possibly be aware of an on-line record store that might have something like that? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Regard's, Tom B.

The LP is a Mercury Living Prescence and might have made it to CD as well. Try www.classicalrecords.com and www.nviclassical.com. The lateer refreshes its list every other week or so, the former about once a month.
