Greeting's one and all,

I just picked up two new videos from YE House of Tower. "Richter: The Enigma" is a film by Bruno Monsaingeon. It's over 2 1/2 hours of documentary.....including a good much of the time with Sciatoslav performering most everything. I've heard about this one along with a similiar film of the life and times of David Oistrach (ROB...are you listening). I probably wont be able to see it for a couple of days. I'll post a review in due time.

The other video is of our friend Celi conducting the Munchner Philharmoniker in the Bruckner 7th!!!(DID anyone mention Brukner) I'll probably watch that one tonight.

Ordered my first CD from Amazon.Com. It's good ol David Oistrakh performing the Khachaturian and Myaskovsky violin concertos. The reviewers are blown away by the performance........and the sound. We're talking about a 1940 recording with the USSR State Symphony Orchestra/ Alexander Gauk conducting, but rather than being recorded on wax or lacquer.......it's recorded for all time on FILM instead!

Well.....gota go.

Regard's, Tom B.

Damm Tom! And I thought I was having about everything played by Oistrakh! You make me going to search for Miaskovsky now, thanks very much indeed. I think I've seen that documentary some time ago; very interesting.

PA PA PampapamPA and good luck with Celi,

Rob
