I'm worried about Jasmine

...I bumped into her this morning and she looked like something the cat dragged in and the dog dragged back out. She hadn't shaved her legs for at least a week, even longer for her chin. Her hair was matted down and greasy looking, her pantsuit looked full of food and body fluid stains, and she was barefoot which showed she'd let her toenails grow so long that they were curling up like a party favor horn on New Years Eve. She on her way over to the Lane's liquor store to buy another quart of cheap vodka, beer nuts, chucharonies, and a BIC lighter with a picture of a woman on it who's bathing suit disappears when it's tilted. Judging by the number of empty bottles in her recycle bin, she's been making that trip often. When I asked her what was wrong, she started sobbing, pushed me away, and sprinted down the block screaming "Nobody gives a rat's ass about me anymore." I tried catching up with her, but I was wearing my work pumps and they're impossible to run in.

Has Jasmine spoken to anyone in our Court lately? Has she mentioned what's wrong? What can we do to bring back the girl we all knew and loved, or at the very least, clip her toenails?
I'm worried, I mean we DO give a rat's ass about her don't we?

Have you been watching the latest episode of Dexter's Lab? Long toenails, they should be lacked in a nice colour before scraping them on the floor making eerie noises like getting chickenskin because of chalk being used to write by the teacher at school.
EEEEEEEEEEK!

Do you have Bruckner 7, John? I'm usually marching on it, but now I can't get it out of my head and it makes me sad. Pa Pa pampapamPa. Jasmine, where are you?

Yes honey, I'm coming!!!

click click click the pumps go on the pavement,

Not that it has anything to do with Jasmine or music, but the mention of toenails remeinds me of a story my dad used to tell (I was there, but too little to remember) about visiting my mother's uncle on their farm. The old man was laying on the porch filing his toenails (which were long enough to bend down over the toe to the ground) on the cement. I have been trying to force that mental picture out of my brain for years.

As for Jasmine, maybe she is a bit over-worked with the expansion of the Lane into Classical Court. Maybe we should look at getting her some help. But then again, one of he specialties is handling large groups. If I recall, dosen't she have a sign in her window, "Buses Welcome" ?

I just ran into her and Suzy, both covered in red paint, and mumbling something about a new business they're opening over on the Lane.

Did she get a building permit for that?

Yeah, the division of the Lane is causing more trouble than expected :-)
As I told you before, I haven't been talking to her for long, actually since I discovered she's been lying to me quite a lot :-(

Jorge

John,

Don't worry so much.............. I paid good money to have her stop shaving those legs. I'm having a nostalgia attack....... It takes this old boy back to his carefree hippie days.

Your posts reminds me of the old Moms Mabley story where she had been up with the boys in an all night poker game. The winners had long gone home and the remaining fellas, suffering from thirst, pulled out their pocket change and scraped together just enough to buy a bottle of cheap grape spirits at the 7-11.

Moms was elected to make the run. She got in and found the cheapest wine in the cooler, which was a few cents more than she had. She had to stand outside the store for half an hour in the rain, begging for change. She went back in, made the purchase, and exited the building. Half way back to the poker party, she stumbled and the rain soaked bag suddenly became lighter and she heard the sound of shattering glass on the pavement and something wet against her ankles............. She paused a moment then uttered, "Lordy Mercy, please let that be blood !"

I'd feel sorrier for Jasmine but it's her own fault she never shoulda gotten poor Binayak into stocks he was just curious for Godssakes but she left him that way over the weekend and you can imagine the icky residue when I opened up Monday and you trying telling his wife how THAT happened and then J. cleaned out the vault and drove off with the trailer still attached and told the Fashion Police it was my fault and I've been on the lam ever since and did u ever have one of those days???
