David Oistrakh Edition - 5 CD Melodiya set - (A bunch of concertos and a clutch of sonatas by Brahms, Frank, Bartok and Shostakovich all with Richter)

Willem Mengelberg - 1928-1932 Columbia (Tchai 4 & 5, Romeo & Juliet, Serenade for Strings and Brahms #3)

Bruckner: Symphony no 4 / Celibidache, Munich

Bruckner: Symphony no 6 / Celibidache, Munich

Bruckner: Symphony no 9 - In Concert And Rehearsal / Celibidache, Munich PO

Mengelberg conducts Brahms - Symphonies no 2 & 4 (Biddulph remaster)

Strauss: Ein Heldenleben, Don Juan / Mengelberg (brand new Dutton Labs remaster)

As of this order, I have cured (for now) my mononucleosis. My doctor informs me that it is now completely OK to up the simple sugars and fats in my diet.

As for sound quality, you'd better get 'Ein Heldenleben/Don Juan' on Telefunken, because Dutton takes away the hiss, but most of the music as well. I've got all you mentioned and I hope this Bruckner 4 will satisfy you as it does to me.

About Mengelberg and the CO, well, that's too divine to be spoken about.

What a conductor, what an orchestra.....
