I found this one in the used bin, and although Argerich and Mozart aren't two people that I readily associate, I couldn't resist buying it. I don't think I'd recommend this as a first choice, but it's certainly worth having if you're a fan of this piano concerto or of Argerich. Martha puts her unmistakable stamp on this cto with the Orchestra di Padova e del Venuto/Rabinovitch as enthusiastic conspirators along with Beethoven(his cadenzas). I don't know if Mozart would have liked this performance, but I have a suspicion that Beethoven would have loved it. Good sound from Teldec. There are a couple of other ctos on the disc, Rabinovitch playing #19 and he and Argerich playing #10 for two pianos. Get it for the D minor K.466 though. Argerich is in fine form; need I say more?

Beethoven's cadenzas? Well, that sounds like a better conspiracy than Wagner wanting to 'improve' Beethoven's 9th. You don't need to say anything, I'm already calling my record-dealer, thanks very much.
