That's about 4 months of a subscription to QOBUZ which has the same issue and steams at the same 24/96.

First they came for the dumb-asses
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a dumb-ass

Both that and the complete Beethoven sonatas were $16 early this morning. Looks like they fixed the error.

Too good to be true, I guess.

Awhile back they had Janowski's complete Bruckner cycle for $13!

I don't know why I didn't go for it.

Sadly was indeed an error. Nt, posted on October 15, 2021 at 11:48:21

Sampling Bavouzet's Debussy. First very generalized impression: bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. , posted on October 17, 2021 at 17:45:27
Not very indulgent but not "cold," or "expedient" either, though I did find myself going back to Ogawa (BIS) in need of a bit more rubato here and there.

And I mean that neither as a compliment nor as a brickbat! ;-)

Of course, I wouldn't know bright-eyed from bushy-tailed, but I do like Bavouzet's performances and the generous acoustic captured by the engineers.

How about "high noon" Debussy? : )

I listened to the early works today. I have a special affection for both the Nocturne and Ballade. I actually got the Nocturne under my fingers years ago.

I feel that both, especially the Ballade (after the intro) need just a bit more of an improvisational touch, though I don't know what Debussy asks.
