One of our local talents in the "East Bay", pianist Andrew Chao Han Chen (who just graduated from UC Berkeley) will be giving a solo recital at the Piedmont Piano Company in Oakland on Sunday (October 25th) at 5:00 p.m. Pacific time. The concert will be live-streamed on the internet (links below), and the repertoire will be as follows:

Mozart (1756-1791)
Fantasy in C Minor, K. 396 (1782)

Chopin (1810-1849)
3 Mazurkas, Op. 59 (1845)
Barcarolle, Op. 60 (1846)

Andrew Chen (1997-)
Étude (2014)
Fantasy (2018)

Ravel (1875-1937)
Le Tombeau de Couperin (1914-1917)
I. Prelude
II. Fugue
III. Forlane
IV. Rigaudon
V. Minuet
VI. Toccata

I know Andrew from having accompanied him as he's played both piano and violin - in fact, I think the last time I played in public was to accompany Andrew in a competition in March (seems like ancient history now!), when he played the Ravel G-major Concerto. (And Andrew just emailed me that that was the last time HE played in public too!) He'll be playing that Ravel Concerto with the UC Berkeley Symphony Orchestra later this year. Last time I was at Piedmont Piano they had a couple of Fazioli pianos there, but I don't know if Andrew will be using a Faz for this recital.

One (or probably either) of the following links should get you to the live-stream, if you're interested:
