Solo piece movingly played by Albrecht Mayer, perhaps the best double reed player of our time. Available to view (free) at the location given. His solo is at 44:04.

Although the SQ is less than Red Book, you might not know it here as the church-like acoustic of the empty Philharmonie is supplemented by a pair of large diaphragm Neumann studio mikes, a quality of microphone not normally used for this series.
