 I have an (unfortunate) 3 meter distance to cover between my phono preamp and my preamp to cover. Looking for suggestions (under $600) for best cable options.

Purchase 20 feet of VH Audio V-Quad Cu24 analog interconnect cable...

Then choose one of the XLR sets that suits your musical tastes and price range... I would go with the Neotech XLR sets...
Neotech NEX-OCC GD XLR $225.00 or Neotech NEX-OCC RH XLR $262.50...

Very nice DIY weekend project...

 Balanced interconnects make perfect sense for this, but unfortunately, my Herron Audio phono stage only has RCA connectors.

 RadioWonder is not far off the mark. A 3 meter length cable from your phono preamp to your preamplifier would be well-served by either VH Audio's V-Twist or V-Quad cables. Perhaps a KLE rca connector option for an affordable performance-level or a set of WBT NextGens. You might consider the V-Quad to place between your turntable and phono preamp, as well.

 I appreciate the feedback. After looking at some of the options, I decided to stay on my local dealer's good side and get some value-added service helping with fine tuning after set up. I am going to go with Nordost White Lightning 3 m RCA. It's shielded, flexible and white (blends into the decor). If it doesn't sound right, I'll know where to look next!
