As far as speaker cables go, I love dark, rolled off, full sounding cables. I've had success with Cardas Quadlink Five series and also old Monster Powerline 2. I tried Transparent Audio Musicwave Plus and while I found the bass response to be wonderful and exaggerated (as I like it), the cable had a glare or glassiness to the mids and highs that I ultimately found unpleasant. I remember a long time ago I had a pair of MIT cables. I am not sure why I sold them, but what I remember is that the bass was huge...bloated...almost too much combined with smooth, creamy highs and mids. I do not remember the name of this product. So that's what I'm looking for. If you happen to know which of the MIT speaker cables, past or present, are known for being wooly, rich, rolled off, with huge, fat bass, please give me a recommendation. The cable that people complain is like a blanket over the speakers with overblown, boomy bass...that's the one I want. Thanks! |
