I'm planning on making a set of ICs with some soldering assistance from a friend of mine, and was wondering about the configuration. I was thinking about a star-quad; either two 28 gauge + and two - in an alternating wind, or one 28 gauge and one 26 in each direction. Or perhaps I should wind the positives in one direction and the negatives in the other so the conductors of opposite polarity cross each other at roughly a right angle. The same question about the gauges would apply. What say ye, and perhaps more importantly, why? |
